  1. hey. http://me.dm – gonna miss ya. feels like i’m losing a limb. and i dont know you that well but i have lived in your live on and off for the last few years. People are so important, expecially those you want to do well in life, respect and have the pleasure to know and share time with.

never forget the importance of that. Lots of love to you and your family. I’ll see you before you go away.

  3. @mike… the other side, unfortunately. vancouver island. will be coming east at some point this year, though…
@phil thanks, man – i don’t feel sad leaving london, but i do feel sad leaving everyone. wish we’d got to hang out more this year. i’ll be back in a year or two… we’ll still be yakking online no doubt.
@robert the thing i’ve missed most about not videoblogging is your commenting 🙂

  4. About time you made a video. Geezus. Yer *so* lazy 😉

Depending on how things go here in the States this year, Lea and I just might be your neighbors up there 🙂

  5. Dude, what happened to your hair? 😉 Glad to see your back, I have missed you, truely I have maybe we can meet up at vloggercamp? 😉 And I like your talking head video’s whoever says different can piss off! 😉

  6. yaaaaaaaaayyyy!! ruperts back, or should I say, Noel Tidybeard. look at you ya handsome devil 🙂

A few lines from one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands:
The time I think most clearly, the time I drift away
Is on the bus-ride that meanders up these valleys of green and grey
I get to think about what might have been and what may yet come true
And I get to pass a rainy mile thinking of you
And all the while, all the while, I still hear that call
To the land of gold and poison that beckons to us all
    And tomorrow brings another train
    Another young brave steals away
But you’re the one I remember
From these valleys of green and the grey
No, not for one second did you look behind you
    As you were walking away
Never once did you wish any of us well
Those who had chosen to stay
And if that’s what it takes to make it
In the place that you live today
Then I guess you’ll never read these letters that I send
From the valleys of the green and the grey
    – Green And Grey, New Model Army (which incedentally ALWAYS bums me out when I listen to it and think about leaving our green and pleasant land)

The best bit about this is we will be on the same time zone. Miss seeing you around on twitter lately. Gonna be great to all the new shit your gonna make with your free time.

ps: Did you apply direct to the Canadian embassy? I have applied to a broker here that claims to expedite the whole process but they will cost like $3000. I want to bail out of here pronto, but convincing the wife is not so easy. 🙁

  7. I’ve just now sorted out why I enjoy watching David Tennant as Dr. Who – he reminds me of listening to your talking head videos!! Seriously. Go watch an ep of Dr. Who and then watch Rupert in this post. Where’s your police box then?

I’ve always wanted to go to Vancouver…..

  8. Glad to see the move is finally happening for you guys. Hopefully you’ll be posting eight times as much material from the wilds of… where was it again? Don’t forget to geotag your posts in future so we can find you on a map…

  9. Does Vancouver Island really understand what is about to happen there? Are they all ready for it? Should anyone warn them?
Thank goodness for being able to keep in touch in this way. We’ll all look forward to seeing if the locals will ignore the craziness as much a the Londoners did while waking over London Bridge. Methinks that though they are a bit off the wall there, they may be quite surprised…… but pleasantly so in time! Hopefully! Whatever, I think they are very lucky to have all of you. Our loss is their gain I say.
