I was quite excited. Can you tell? The whole thing – before, during and after – was pretty intense.
I’d almost forgotten how incredible he is, what an amazing performer and musician… and how many hits he’s had.
“I GOT MORE HITS THAN MADONNA’S GOT KIDS”
Check out his Singles at Wikipedia
Oh, and then scroll down to see all the songs he’s written for other people.
He plays guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, percussion, saxaphone. And composes, arranges, produces, performs everything at high levels of perfectionism.
AND HE ROCKS

HAH!! I knew you couldnt resist filming the concert!!
That was AWESOME!
Your video reminded me of when I saw Prince a few years ago. The clips of the concert at the end were an extra treat.
The way you shot the twirling thing was neat. I got dizzy watching it.
Are you obsessed with urinal cakes?
Thanks so much 4 sharing Ur video blog…awesome! I had the pleasure of seeing him perform 3 times in 1 day on 07/07/07…so I understand how U felt!!!
That 80’es again… extraordinary! Put me right there 20 years back!
BTW I think we should always include a shot of a loo in a video blog. Loos are way too much neglected these days.
Yay, I’m glad you all liked it. It was fun.
@kenya I’m not obsessed with urinal cakes, no… lol – but I was struck by these. Not least because it seemed such an odd place to find them arranged so precisely. I mean, it was a burger grill in a rock venue.
@gogen yes, I think this could be our new meme. I think maybe there are ways of communicating messages to each other through the showing of loos. besides, there’s something about toilets that seems fitting to this new form of video. given the big part they play in all our lives everyday, they get very little airtime in movies and on TV. actually, thinking about it, lots of my favourite films have crucial toilet scenes – Godfather, Pulp Fiction, The Conversation. And the very first Twittervlog post was made in my loo at home. And yesterday I was filming toilets while trying to buy one in a bathroom shop. YES! I see it now. My future lies in the toilet.
So, no more “I’ll drink to that” but rather “I’ll flush to that”, LOL! Nice movie references you got there! True. Reservoir Dogs: Äö?Ñ??àö?ëàöà´WhereÄö?Ñ??àö?ëàö¬s the commode in this place, IÄö?Ñ??àö?ëàö¬ve gotta take a squirt.Äö?Ñ??àö?ëàöÄ
Bottomline – we can access the photos and vids of almost every important building and item on the planet, but have no idea how the loo there looks like (ie, I’ve seen the Mona Lisa in Louvre but didn’t take a leak there, doh!).
wow that place in insane!
prince is someone quite something.
but i am growing concerned about your urinal obsession 😉
OK, maybe not urinal cakes but you’re definitely obsessed with urinals. Your last video was funny when you had to turn the camera off because someone was coming into the restroom.
Very funny… Am I allowed to post you a link to look at here? I couldn’t find your email (am on work computer). This made me laugh a lot and I wanted to send it to you… when folk meets hip hop beautiful things can happen: http://www.creativereview.co.uk/crblog/when-kanye-met-bonnie-and-zach/
This was great! The twirling, your excitement, the urinal, and your excitement.
Oh Rupert! As the time got closer for you & Kate and your friend you could see your eyes get all excited and take on the look of gleeful children! Man o’ man did that look like a huge production. And Raspberry Beret is my Fav song! So glad you took some time off to enjoy yourself!
Finally! I can watch twittervlog like everyone else (I had Firefox extension issues)! I got to see His Purpleness a couple of years ago and I screamed and squealed like a 12 year old! Fantastic show! hell of a venue you’ve got, there!
I think you should do a whole series on urinals.
“and then kept them there… against the force of urine!”
Rupert you are awesome. You’re expressiveness and spirit are infectious.
So mant great moments in this clip. Glad you managed to capture some of the show, it looked amazing. I’m not a fan of Prince per se, but I have a lot of respect for him as a musician. i’m sure the gig was outrasgeously good.
I cant beleive how much London has changed since I left 12 years ago. The Millenium Dome looks pretty fantastic.
