Shot, edited and sent with Nokia N93.
This was our last weekend in the English countryside before we emigrate. I wanted to capture and cut together some quiet little moments to take with me on my phone as a reminder.
But after it was done, I thought it could do with a bit of tightening to improve it. Maybe cut a few seconds here and there. So I opened up my phone and started fiddling. You know when you’re doodling or sketching, and you make something you’re vaguely pleased with, but then you just have to add one more line… and then another… and then another…?
Oh – and my last week in England is also the fourth annual Videoblogging Week. So I’ll be churning out my egocentric mobile rubbish every day this week! Hurray! To join in, just make a video every day this week and tag each video ‘videobloggingweek2008’ and post a link at: http://videobloggingweek2008.blogspot.com/
I’m loving it. English country living. (I’m really amazed at how good that camera looks and how well you use it. I could become a cameraphone believer with these kind of examples)
That first video was beautiful. Nicely popped together and inspiring. That second vid…man! For a moment, I felt like I was having an Orwell moment.
Wow! I loved the two versions, i normally prefer the first one, but the second is so so fun, just like a teaser for the first one 🙂
and that phone of yours really take good pictures and its so hard to think that you edit them in that little phone. amazing really.
Hope you have a nice last week in london/europe!
I think I got some pigs lined up for videobloggingweek but not small cute ones that you have.
Get me to the countryside quick! Brilliant and inspiring, as usual. The first one straight to my Spring fevered heart. I’m missing you lot already.
Ha, the remix was so funny. For some reason the first video reminded me of ‘Chucky’ movies when you keep cutting to and from your shoes 🙂
I wish i could participate this Videoblogging week, but have too much uni work this week 🙁
At least i’ll have yours and others videos to enjoy.
great videos … but seriously whats goin’ on at the 36second mark on the first one?! I’m gonna have nightmares.
Beautiful videos.
Even your cows have that wonderful British accent! 🙂
As for your second video, don’t be surprised if you’re approached by The Beastie Boys to sample it for their next rap hit.
I was wondering where I put that body…..man I was soooo wasted that weekend…. Ok, seriously, what the hell is up with the dead body!! You know, you did say you could be an ax murderer…..cool…..
I like them both, but I never should have scrolled down to see the second video’s still before watching the first video because it
a)clouded my brain and made the video seem far more more ominous and dark and strange than an English countryside video ought to and
b) will give me nightmares for days!! What’s up with the creepy pond body? Is that art? if it is, I don’t like it! If it’s a real body, then y’all should move to Canada NOW! Don’t wait out the week! Leave now!
Oh my god! *That’s* in the final edits? How?? It’s almost like the video’s been altered by some kind of supernatural force…
In other news, we’re now not moving to Canada. It’s suddenly legally a bit more… complicated. I hear Mexico is lovely in April.
What?!! But I hardly told them anything about you…
legally complicated … was that a Canadian we saw in you pond?!
i don’t know. something to do with extradition treaties. yawn. oops! gotta run!
Really nice video. I think where you live in England is more similar to where I live in the U.S., than it is to London, or I am to St. Louis. (I’m sure that sentence makes sense in some universe.)
Superb! I swear that video will totally ‘see off’ still photography within the next 10 years. Loving your work! (^_^)
Somewhat similar to my Nokia N93 video here…
